Who We Are
We Build Leaders
Leadership Barry County offers established and emerging leaders a unique opportunity to be part of a group that comes together to develop their professional and personal leadership skills; learn about Barry County through discussion and firsthand experience; and build relationships with others.
We Empower Graduates
For nearly three decades, our network has grown to over 500 program graduates. These alumni are offered continued opportunities to keep learning and connecting throughout West Michigan.
We Equip the Community
We also provide broader services to the community, such as workshops on running for public office and serving as a point of connection between non-profit organizations and potential board members.
Registration
Youth Quest
Youth Quest offers LOCAL 10th, 11th, and 12th graders the opportunity to build and develop their leadership skills. Activities are designed to help the students achieve success through team-building, goal setting, cooperation, and creative problem solving. Participants will also learn their own personal leadership styles and how to recognize the leadership styles of others.
The goal of this highly interactive weekend is to help the students become more effective both as leaders and as members of a team and to realize the full scope of their potential.
Program Details
June 6 - 8, 2025
The Youth Quest weekend is hosted at the YMCA of Barry County Camp Algonquin with skilled facilitators. Participants spend the weekend doing teambuilding and getting to know students from different schools. They will have fun climbing rock walls, ziplining and swimming while gaining important skills to help lead them through their lives.
